rapid prototyping and mock-ups

A key component of the mechanical design process is the ability to build 1:1 prototypes to risk-reduce your product launch and facilitate more predictable timelines from a planning perspective.

This benefits designers, engineers, sales and marketing teams, and companies by ensuring design accuracy and providing a cost-efficient design validation approach.

With either your CAD files, or our commissioned mechanical design, we will make prototypes that:

  1. build confidence that the final parts will look and fit correctly

  2. are strong enough to be assessed, evaluated and tested for function or environmental performance

  3. help catch design errors or potential problems early in the process, before tooling begins

  4. are far more convincing than artist sketches or drawings to demonstrate to customers, management, and stakeholders

  5. can be used as mock-ups for tradeshows, sales meetings and press conferences, while the real product is being finished

  6. reduce risk and save cost and time

Our mechanical designers work directly with skilled craftsmen and machinists to create the prototypes or mock-ups to your specification. Mock-ups can be painted and silkscreened if necessary for a “production” look.

Once you are ready, we offer plastic and metal tooling, and can supply top quality parts for mass production.
